I've had many people suggest to me that I create a blog and maintain it regularly. So where and how did this Briar Patch Ramblings come to life. With the help of the little fellas living in our yard, one could only be happy where they feel safe and secure. So as most know, rabbits feel very safe when they are in a briar patch or so the story goes. Disney did such a great job back in 1946 with "The Song of the South" when the rabbit out smarted the fox. As the rabbit said, "Please Master Fox, do anything but don't throw me in the briar patch." Well, Master Fox did just that. As the rabbits takes off hoping down the fence posts he sings, "Yes sir, I was born and bred in a briar patch!!"
I seem to be at my happiest when I'm writing, shooting pictures, and trying to put the two together for a story. I like things outside of the political arena so it's not likely one will be reading about any upcoming election. I do enjoy outside activities, sports, animals, nature, and how one's actions can make another's day. It would be safe to say the reader will see more of those posts; but I reserve the right to get on a soap box of an issue from time to time.
What other topics might come to life on this page? Well, concerts are a great possibility. Events that are attended and enjoyed could be a great guess. The nice thing is I've always believed that whether it is nature, music, events, or people each of these things can make a difference in someone's life and outlook each day. So whether you see a funny face, a cute animal, or a challenge overcome by an individual, this site will be trying to help improve someone's day.
Remember to be where and with whom makes you happy and safe. For a bunny, it might just be that crazy Briar Patch. It is and will be something different for each of us; and therefore, life has us rambling down the road sometimes before we are lucky enough to find it. Enjoy the trip, we only have one through this life.
